I developed the website in vb.net.
Do you blog for business? for pleasure?
Pleasure.
How does your blog help the local blogging community?
I provide information about the local farmers market and community supported agriculture (CSA) scene. I try to stay up-to-date about new organizations and events in the local organic farming scene.
I also write about seasonal food, how to prepare and store it. When we first became CSA members, I was quite overwhelmed with the (to us) unfamiliar vegetables and how to use them. Over the years, it has become second nature to develop our weekly menu based on what I know will be available seasonally. With that in mind, I include my family’s favorite recipes to help out other overwhelmed cooks.
What are your hobbies and interests?
Gardening, canning, hiking, knitting, cooking, soap and candle making… I have a lot of interests.
What do you do when you are not writing online?
I am a computer programmer by profession. Since my nearly 5yo daughter was born, I have chosen to stay home with her. I occasionally pick up part time IT contracting jobs for local businesses.
